New visitors to the Redbubble Home Page did not understand the Redbubble value proposition or the range of products available on the website. The most common statement is that Redbubble is an "art gallery". We saw a higher exit rate from the Home Page than other pages on the website.


We held a design sprint where the team used identified user pain points to develop concepts to better address the confusion.

We evaluated the concepts with moderated and unmoderated sessions with both test participants in Australia and the United States. Round One sessions used High fidelity mockups and Round Two used InVision clickthru prototypes.

Project Role

  • Worked with UX team to confirm research goals, protocols for the moderated and unmoderated sessions.
  • Developed different recruiting screeners in-person Melbourne sessions and remote participants from United States.
  • Coached & mentored designers to moderate in-person sessions.
  • Analyzed all sessions and wrote a detailed report and summary presentation.
